Duties: The main purpose of this position is to oversee daily lab operations and conduct biomedical research on the mechanisms of lung injury. Specifically the projects involve conducting studies examining the mechanisms of lung endothelial cell death and its effects on lung and systemic inflammatory responses during stress. The candidate will be required to perform research experiments using biochemistry and advanced molecular biology techniques. The candidate will also oversee the training of research specialists and trainees in animal lung injury models. The candidate will also order lab supplies, maintain animal colonies, oversee all lab operating procedures and supervise trainees in the lab.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: A Master's Degree or more and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience with lab management and supervising trainees is preferred.
