Duties: Provide scientific support for PI involved in Drosophila research. Candidate will work with PI to conduct and help oversee others on research for specific research projects of focus to the PI. Research will involve Drosophila genetic screens, genetic analysis and molecular genetic analysis, cloning and sequencing genomic approaches. Will aid in maintenance of laboratory by overseeing databases for reagents, train new laboratory members in basic Drosophila experimental approaches, and oversee and maintain laboratory equipment. Will work with other scientists in the laboratory to help facilitate their research.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related field and 1 years to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 2 to 3 years of experience are strongly preferred. Experience with all aspects of Drosophila research including stock maintenance, genetics, molecular genetics, genomics. High level of organization and efficiency, ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to work independently, train others, and assemble research into reports for presentation.
