Advertised Salary:

Minimum $60,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and Area of Specialization:

PhD in wildlife ecology, quantitative ecology, biology, conservation ecology, epidemiology, statistics, or related field required.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Expertise in research study design and statistical modeling (including Bayesian hierarchical methods) is required. Experience with integrated population modeling, event-time data analysis, modeling animal movement data, and application of these models to resource selection is preferred. Experience with computer programming of statistical models is required. Knowledge of wildlife disease or disease ecology is preferred. Applicant is required to have good organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage large and complex datasets and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Good verbal and written communication ability is required. The ability to work independently, and as part of a research team is required. A record of publication in the scientific literature is preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills are preferred.



Position Summary:

The incumbent is supervised by a faculty member in the Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology with whom the individual will work to provide overall coordination and direction of research activities and analytical support.
