JOB SUMMARY

Duties include teaching and delivering curriculum within the Engineering and Manufacturing Technology programs, specifically in the areas of fluid power, manufacturing processes, marine technology and metallurgy.  Experience in the area of CADD (SolidWorks) and robotics would be a plus. Teaching responsibilities includes the possibility of teaching night and weekend courses.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES and LICENSES

Required:

  • Industry certification in any of the following areas; fluid power, electro-hydraulics, manufacturing processes, marine technology or metallurgy.
  • Bachelor degree in a technical program (engineering, sciences, etc.) with a minimum of 2 years’ industry experience in any of the following areas; fluid power, electro-hydraulics, manufacturing processes, marine technology or metallurgy

-or-

  • Associates degree with a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience in any of the following areas; fluid power, electro-hydraulics, manufacturing processes, marine technology or metallurgy

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree or higher in a technical program (engineering, sciences, etc.).
  • Seven years of industry experience in any of the following areas; fluid power, electro-hydraulics, manufacturing processes, marine technology or metallurgy.
  • Industry experience in the robotics and CADD (SolidWorks) in a manufacturing setting.
  • One year teaching or training in any of the following areas; fluid power, electro-hydraulics, manufacturing processes, marine technology and metallurgy field.
  • Experience in developing curriculum and program accreditation.
  • Two years industry involvement (committees, standards, advocacy, etc.).
