The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at William Paterson University seeks a talented, customer service centered individual to serve as an Admissions Counselor. Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions the counselor’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: counseling prospective students and their families on the benefits of attending the University; evaluating and rendering admission determinations and assisting with the development of admissions policies and procedures. S/he effectively manages assigned geographic territories; cultivates relationships with diverse audiences and delivers interactive presentations at Admissions related events.

A Bachelor’s Degree with related experience in college admissions, higher education, or school counseling is required.  Must possess strong organizational, oral and written communication skills as well as strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Additional requirements include working evenings and weekends when necessary; possessing a valid driver’s license and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner student information system is preferred.
