The Assistant Director for Faculty Affairs in the Fox School of Business supports the overall mission of the School by providing administrative support to the Senior Associate Dean in the management of all functions in his/her portfolio, particularly in terms of faculty affairs, faculty personnel processes and accreditation. The Assistant Director manages all full-time faculty personnel processes, including the search and hiring process for new faculty, promotion and tenure, contract renewals for untenured faculty and non-tenure track faculty appointments, merit, salary adjustments and various Fox and University faculty awards. He/she tracks new program and course proposals and assists with the coordination of the AACSB accreditation process across all departments and programs in the School. The Assistant Director works with the Dean, Senior Associate Dean, and Managing Director for Faculty Affairs and Business Operations to complete fellow/professorship review processes and applications. He/she tracks faculty administrative appointments and coordinates the development of new appointments and renewals. In addition, the Assistant Director serves as the back-up to the Managing Director for Faculty Affairs and Business Operations and assists with the management all faculty affairs. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of related administrative experience that includes handling personnel functions and working with senior level management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: *Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite, including word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
* Demonstrated ability to handle confidential materials.
* Demonstrated ability to oversee complex databases.
*Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to work as a team player across multiple levels.
*Demonstrated ability to work concurrently on multiple projects with varying timelines.
*Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty and staff.
*Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Preferred:
*Higher education experience.
*Experience with accreditation materials
*Experience working with faculty personnel processes.
