Duties: The Associate Director supports the activities of Platt Student Performing Arts House and the Performing Arts Council with their productions and in the development of social, cultural, service and educational events throughout the year. The Associate Director manages rehearsal spaces for 46 student performing arts groups and 20+ non-PAC groups; co-advises PAC Executive Board, independently advises PennArts Pre-Orientation Leadership and three visual arts groups; provides administrative management of five pre-orientation programs; assists in the management of Platt House facilities; leads Platt House marketing initiatives and coordinates marketing strategies to publicize student events; manages all event related listserves and websites; assists in the planning and implementation of special programs and events, as well as civic engagement initiatives; collaboratively manages assessment projects; supports smooth operation of Platt House.

Qualifications: BS required; MS preferred and 3 -5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with event planning and performing arts required. Sensitivity to students from diverse backgrounds and interests essential. Must have an interest in working with students, alumni and community members. Flexible work schedule required, some evening and weekends necessary.
