PROGRAM COORDINATOR III

Job Summary *This position is only available to current UGA employees* This position is a Program Coordinator position responsible for coordinating and executing educational programming at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia based in Athens with statewide responsibilities. This position serves as the overall manager and on-site administrator of the operations of children and adult education programs under the direction of the Director of the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. In order to achieve depth of mission the position must work closely with each department and staff members. Responsibilities include: - Oversight and supervision of all project staff including Children's Program Manager, Adult Program Coordinator, interns, and student workers - Active involvement on various advisory boards and committees and spokesperson for programs to external organizations. - Assistance with environmental education focused field trip instruction, curriculum development and co-direction of summer camp in partnership with Children's Program Manager. - Assurance of the effective delivery of programs to include publicity, instructor correspondence, participant correspondence, financial management with assistance of staff members directly responsible for these tasks and registration management. - Maintaining and seeking partnerships within UGA and around the state. - Specific programs include but are not limited to Certificate in Native Plants, adult series, symposium, field trips, summer camps, festivals, birthday parties, Experience UGA, teacher training, Give Wildlife A Chance Poster Contest, Connect to Protect outreach and Reynolds Plantations partnership. - This position will serve as the lead for the program planning committee creating foundational materials, communications, and training resources. - Other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Completion of a master's degree with 3 years of related experience; OR completion of a bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience.
