Job Description:

The Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research (PTR) in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy (COP) invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor (non-tenure track). The successful applicant will have a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and patient care. This faculty member will have the opportunity to play an important role in all student-centered activities at the Jacksonville campus of the College of Pharmacy. Responsibilities include the education of pharmacy students in the didactic and experiential components of the Doctor of Pharmacy program; scholarly pursuits; and active participation in the department and College.

The faculty member will maintain an active clinical practice/teaching site. The COP Jacksonville campus is located on the campus the UF Health Jacksonville Medical Center (http://ufhealthjax.org/). Potential clinical practice opportunities at UF Health include internal medicine and infectious disease (inpatient) and rheumatology and neurology (ambulatory clinics).

Advertised Salary:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.  

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants should have a Pharm.D. degree with 2 years of post-graduate training (residency, fellowship, or equivalent experience). Florida licensure will be required. Excellent teaching and communication skills are essential. FDLE Criminal Background Check Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience and experience in mentoring students and/or residents is preferred.
