This recruitment will be used to establish a pool of candidates for current and future full-time, permanent (probationary) appointments. The work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
Under the immediate direction of a Lead Groundsworker, the incumbent performs the full range of groundskeeping duties to maintain the campus grounds and deliver landscape services to an assigned area of campus ranging from 5-20 acres. These services include, but are not limited to, the following: hardscape clean-up, landscape bed maintenance, turf maintenance, and general grounds maintenance work.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $2,736 per month. CSU Classification Salary Range: $2,736 - $4,441 per month. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

One year of experience in the care and maintenance of landscaped areas or in general grounds maintenance work, or in related manual labor.
Preferred Qualifications and Specialized Skills
Experience in the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
Relevant education or coursework in horticulture and/or plant identification.
LEED Green Associate Credential.
