Position Description

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in August 2017. We seek a broadly trained biological anthropologist who has a strong commitment to teaching within an undergraduate liberal arts and sciences setting. The individual would be expected to contribute to our biological anthropology concentration as well as teach Introduction to Anthropology (4 fields). Sub-specialties within biological anthropology are open, with preference given to candidates who specialize in some combination of forensics, bioarchaeology, and/or medical anthropology. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of ongoing scholarship. Successful candidates will have earned a Ph.D. in Anthropology by the time of appointment.
