Position Description

The primary role of a Project Manager (PM) is to be a facilitator. The Project Manager is responsible for applying knowledge, skills and techniques to execute and implement projects effectively and efficiently. The PM takes whatever actions necessary to ensure the project team can successfully perform their work. This entails collaborating with management to ensure the necessary resources and support required, as well as addressing issues that may negatively impact the project team's productivity and client deliverables.

Key responsibilities:

Perform Project Start-up Activities:
o Coordinate with management/key stakeholders on project objectives
o Work with management to develop an internal project team
o Develop a required Project Plan, using documentation templates (Excel, Microsoft Project)
o Develop presentation materials and facilitate project kick-off meeting
Provide Day-to-Day Management of the Project(s):
o Maintain the Project Plan and other project deliverables, as required per the project guidelines
o Facilitate status meetings with project team to review accomplishments, assign tasks and review/determine priorities, ensure all meetings are appropriately documented via meeting minutes
o Complete weekly project status reports
o Escalate significant issues to Senior Management, as warranted
o Conduct meetings with Senior Management and clients on project status, as necessary
o Ensure that tasks are being completed according to the approved schedule and project guidelines
o Ensure that tracking and reporting processes, such as updating the risk log, issue log, action items, etc. are completed according to project guidelines
o Manage project targets and set goals, budgets/forecasts, as applicable
Project Deliverables:
o Ensure timely and quality submission of project deliverables
o Develop, review and/or provide input on all project deliverables
o Conduct necessary reviews of all project deliverables and incorporate feedback, as appropriate

Project Close-Out:
o Perform Project Close-out Activities, as required
o Conduct Lessons Learned session, document and distribute findings
Participate in Regular One-on-One Meetings with Manager for Direct Feedback on Performance
