Job Description

Red Creek Asset Management is seeking an Asset Manager who will be responsible for the management of legacy whole loan acquisitions.


• Overseeing transfer/boarding of assets to custodian and servicer

• Direct oversight of the servicer and asset management (loss mitigation and loan resolution) to hit defined performance targets and strategy

• Servicing transfer and on-boarding strategy: coordinate and manage settlement from interim servicers to ensure a timely, accurate and compliant transition

• Formalize and execute an asset resolution plan: map acquisition and risk assessment; Establish and oversee effective pre-acquisition collateral assessment and due diligence that quantifies target assets, mitigates tail risk and targets investor strategy

• Implement Asset Management Strategy: devise strategies with servicer, implement and manage controls and reporting to optimize execution and effectively manage asset performance

• Design and launch an asset acquisition transfer and oversight plan, utilizing diligence, knowledge and insight from investor received during diligence process
  • Determine foreclosure and collection strategies to reduce timelines and expenses
  • Work with custodian and servicer to clear critical collateral exceptions
  • Review all proposed loss mitigation solutions (short sales, REO, modifications etc.) and financial decisions to ensure optimization of cash flow and investor profit
  • Trend portfolio to determine and measure effectiveness of servicer efforts and campaigns
  • Develop and monitor exception reporting to identify and resolve loans stuck in various stages of default to avoid timeline delays and lost opportunities

  • Minimum of 5 years as an Asset Manager with an established servicer or loan investor required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of pre-acquisition diligence process and results (compliance, credit, property value and collateral/title review)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Federal, state and foreclosure/bankruptcy laws applicable to mortgage servicing
  • Understanding of securitizations and capital markets
  • Ability to set goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Appreciation of risk vs. return and value oriented investing
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize
  • Strong sense of professionalism and work ethic
