This position is designed to conceive, develop and implement new leadership programs; oversee and continue development of existing core leadership programs such as Emerging Leaders Retreat; assist Assoc VP and Assistant Dean with development and implementation of programs directly related to recommendations made by evaluators to improve functions of fraternity and sorority life on campus; advise Panhellenic and IFC; and oversee planning and budgeting for leadership programs and fraternity and sorority life. Essential Duties
  • Develops /implements/refines core leadership programs for all students including but not limited to Leaders at Lunch, Emerging Leaders Retreat, Sophomore Leaders retreat and others
  • Develops/implements leadership development programs for fraternity and sorority members including but not limited to Officer and President Roundtable, leadership transition workshops for Panhellenic and IFC; workshop and regular meetings of fraternity and sorority faculty and alumni advisors; oversees and advises Fraternity and Sorority leadership & scholarship honoraries
  • Advises Panhellenic and IFC and their respective advisors; co-advises senior class and plans senior week activities with staff from advancement; provides guidance, support and sometimes direct advising to various student clubs and organizations
  • Provide leadership training and support to all student clubs/organizations as requested; advise certain student groups and/or assist Asst Dean with work on Student Senate
  • Works with AVP, Asst Dean and ESCLC sub-committee on Student Organizations and Greek Life on policy development and implementation including but not limited to risk management, new member education/practices and others as needed
  • Develops and oversees budget for Fraternity & Sorority Life; coordinates development and oversight of leadership budget with Asst Dean
Other Duties
  • Serve in Student Life On-call Rotation and participate in required semester training for this responsibility
  • Serve as conduct system administrator and participate in required annual training for this responsibility
  • Serve as Title IX hearing panelist and/or investigator and participate in annual required for this responsibility
  • Serve as Green Dot Facilitator and complete required 4 day training and periodic training updates
  • Will serve as co-convener of campus working committee on hazing
