Job Summary The Center for Leadership and Service empowers students to intentionally engage in leadership learning and practice active citizenship. The CLS utilizes the guiding principles of life-long learning, active citizenship, interculturalism, and justice to guide its practice. Programs and student organizations housed in the CLS offer basic skills training as well as opportunities for personal growth, networking, and friendship that provide a foundation for ethical action and commitment throughout their lives. This position supports student leadership development for undergraduate and graduate students through a series of departmental sponsored programs that assist students in developing skills, knowledge, and values necessary to become effective leaders and citizens. This position also assists in the development and implementation of UGA Dawg Camp extended orientation programs which are designed to assist new, incoming first year and transfer students in their transition to the university community. Additionally, this position will build capacity for additional leadership and new student engagement initiatives and support the work of the Assistant Director for Leadership and New Student Engagement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND three years administrative and program experience; OR Masters Degree and two years of administrative/program experience; OR seven years of progressively responsible administrative/program experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
