STUDENT AFFAIRS SPECIALIST III
Job Summary Founded in 1785, the University of Georgia is the nation's first state-chartered university. Enrollment exceeds 30,000 students who claim residency in all 50 states and many foreign countries. The University, with the main campus covering more than 600 acres, is located in Athens, a city of 95,000, which is 70 miles northeast of Atlanta. UGA's Greek community maintains a rich heritage with sixty-three recognized Greek letter organizations. The Greek community and its almost 6,000 affiliated students play an active role in contributing to the quality of campus life. The Interfraternity Council (IFC) Advisor is responsible for coordinating and advising IFC, its Executive Board, and the 26 nationally-affiliated fraternities. This position requires weekend and evening work and reports to the Director of Greek Life. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND three years administrative and program experience; OR Masters Degree and two years of administrative/program experience; OR seven years of progressively responsible administrative/program experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
