Unit Job Summary: The Physical Education, Health, and Wellness Department (PEHW) is responsible for the Physical Education, Health, and Wellness education of students in grades K-11. Duties include instructing students in physical education at Earl Shapiro Hall (grades K-2). Candidates will need to interact and collaborate with faculty members, administration, and parents on a daily basis. Teachers are expected to work the required number of days as stipulated in the Faculty Association contract. All teachers are expected to perform in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Anticipated start date for this position is 9/1/2017.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Education required. K-2 PE certification preferred. Master's degree preferred. Coursework or degree that reflects multicultural content preferred.

Unit Experience: Teaching experience required. Teaching K-2 Physical Education experience preferred. American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid training preferred. Experience working with a wide range of students with diverse backgrounds such as race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, learning abilities, class, language and nationality.
