About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: The Senior Research Technician performs research experiments in an immunology research lab. Focus on the development of basic research related to asthma and other lung diseases. Proficiently perform many laboratory techniques such as flow cytometry multiplex assays, ELISA,T cell proliferation assays, qPCR, and tissue culture. Perform in vivo and in vitro experiments in a mouse model, and in vitro experiments with human tissue. Maintain complete and accurate experimental records. Collate and analyze data. Record accurate data into computer database. Summarize results and assist in interpreting procedural and theoretical finds. Maintain laboratory organization, order supplies, keep equipment in working order, and general laboratory duties.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the research being conducted required. Advanced degree in a field relevant to the research being conducted preferred.

Unit Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant research experience required; five years preferred. Experience with flow cytometry, ELISA, and cell culture preferred. Basic laboratory skills including pipetting, buffer/reagents preparation etc., preferred.
