About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: The Compensation Analyst serves as a liaison to the broader HR Community throughout campus. This role supports the Sr. Compensation Analyst and reports into the Talent and Rewards manager. Major activities include: - Conducting job evaluations, including communication of job evaluation results and associated base pay information for the role. - Assisting in the data aggregation and analysis of trends for quarterly base pay spending scorecards. - Assisting in the execution of Annual Compensation Process including creation of educational materials, toolkit and data aggregation and analysis on spending. - Managing the market data survey portfolio, including submission process for salary and compensation trends surveys; data refreshes in Workday; cost tracking; and market data library maintenance. - For market data coverage, identifying gaps in coverage and new surveys or survey matches to increase number of jobs with external market data. - Assisting in the development and delivery of compensation education materials and training efforts. May conduct training sessions. - Identifying and implementing enhancements to compensation processes in Workday. - Contributing to the development of compensation policies, processes, and governance to ensure alignment with University goals and reflective of regulatory and competitive landscapes.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as human resources, finance or business administration required. Certified Compensation Professional Certification (CCP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.

Unit Experience: At least three years of professional experience in compensation program administration and management, experience in human resources project management and information reporting required. Demonstrated technology experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, data visualization, etc.) required. Experience working in both public and private institutions preferred. Workday experience preferred.
