Hofstra University’s Office of Undergraduate Admission seeks an Assistant/Associate Director of Marketing and Communications.  Title will commensurate with experience.  This position reports to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications for Enrollment Management. The primary responsibilities of the Assistant/Associate Director of Marketing and Communications will be to plan and execute all recruitment marketing campaigns.

The candidate will be expected to develop, track and manage content and outcomes for marketing campaigns including, but not limited to: print, emails, guidebooks, articles, web and other related marketing and promotional material. Candidate should possess the ability to vary tone and language based on medium and target audience. Applicant should have a strong grasp of the English language including spelling, meaning, rules of grammar and composition.  This role will be responsible for ensuring that projects of all kinds are completed on schedule, at or under budget and meeting their stated goals. Plans, tracks and controls expenses. Additionally, the candidate should be knowledgeable of methods and principles for promoting and selling services. Evening and weekend hours will be required in support of special projects and events. Other duties as assigned. Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA.

Bachelor’s degree is required. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding communicator with excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to manage and mentor staff members. A working knowledge of Salesforce (TargetX) is helpful.  Must possess a working knowledge Microsoft Suite. This individual will deal with a wide variety of constituents, including faculty, administrators, alumni, vendors, current students, and prospective students and their families.  The candidate must have a professional demeanor and excellent relational skills.
