Director of Strategic Technology Initiatives
Hollins University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Strategic Technology Initiatives.
The director serves as an integral team member that will develop, coordinate, and manage various projects for the Slate CRM (customer relationship management) system as deemed by the Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing, other department directors, and staff members. This position coordinates both technical and functional work for various CRM initiatives, and manages the overall implementation timelines in conjunction with department directors. The director has the overall responsibility for the successful delivery of all Slate CRM-related initiatives to various users including the Office of Admission and others on campus. Additionally, the position is responsible for monitoring changes in the CRM market and landscape, and advises and provides regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership. The director reports to the Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing.
Successful applicants must have a bachelor’s degree; experience with and working knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures of Technolutions’ Slate admission database; knowledge of Ellucian Banner; high-level proficiency in SQL and other computer science programming languages/software; Microsoft Office proficiency; adeptness with handling complex tasks and problems independently; and an understanding of how functions and services across the university are interdependent and how they impact goals. Must also have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated presentation and training skills, and excellent detail, accuracy, organizational, project management, and decision-making skills. Additional qualifications include abilities to manage own workflow and troubleshoot and solve problems; to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals and to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences; and to work well independently, collaboratively, and positively with new technologies. Must also have ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends. Applicants with a master’s or higher degree and experience in a single-sex, residential, liberal arts higher education institution are preferred.
