Ongoing development and maintenance of the programming requirements for the College's Web site and extended Web presence (including third party social media and blogging platforms) by conceptualizing, developing, supporting, and maintaining current and future standalone applications that enhance the functionality and presentation of the college's public facing Web site.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field.  Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale. 
  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field and one year of related experience.
Associates Degree with two years of related experience and two of the following certifications:

  1. Web Programming Certification
  2. Sitecore Professional Developer Certification
  3. Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
  4. Microsoft Specialist: Visual Studio certification
  5. Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
  6. Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
  7. MCTS: Microsoft .NET Framework 4, Web Applications Development
  8. MCTS: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 ASP.NET, Applications
  9. Other certifications will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

         - Solid front-end programming skills including: HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, JQuery and Bootstrap, with a working knowledge of PHP

          - Experience with web services and web integration technologies including: Visual Studio, Web API, REST, SOAP, LINQ and XML.
          -  C# experience developing real world .NET website applications, preferably in  MVC Content management system experience (Sitecore and Word Press preferred).

           - Familiarity with Lucene or a similar search indexing solution.

           - Familiarity with SQL Server

           - Experience with Mobile development for Android and iOS are a plus, but not required.

           - Experience using SVN or similar repository.

  1. Provides technical guidance during planning and development of new Web initiatives.
  2. Develop effective Web and mobile Web applications, which address a variety of college business and communication goals and which meet the user needs of prospective students, current students and other key audiences.
  3. Consulting independently with clients at all levels throughout the college to determine functional requirements for their departments' Web sections, and developing effective Web applications to meet those needs.
  4. Working closely with the other members of the Web Team, College Communications, and other internal units to deliver solid applications and smooth launches; serve as Web team liaison with CCBC Information Technology Services department.
  5. Provide project outlines, including planning estimates of time and resources for all Web development tasks, and maintaining documentation for all Web development tasks.

  1. Maintain and continually refine function of internal site search functionality; as needed, develop, test, debug, implement new systems.
  2. Adapting, configuring, enhancing, implementing and integrating third party applications as well as open-source and proprietary applications for use in the CCBC Web environment, including social media platforms, blogging applications, Chat/IM applications, etc.
  3. Maintain and continually refine function of Web site systems; as needed, develop, test, debug, implement new systems.
  4. Maintain Content Management System.  Act as Web team technical lead with CMS vendor and liaise with ITs for implementation, technical support, upgrades and enhancements, documentation and testing.
