Field Service Technician
Job Purpose:
Installation, repair, and maintenance of loading docking equipment, commercial doors, material lifts, and other material handling equipment
Install new equipment per factory specifications
Troubleshoot and repair dock equipment, commercial doors, and other material handling equipment
Use hand tools, power tools, hoist, and measuring/testing equipment to diagnose needed repairs
Work independently on your company provided service truck.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment for new and existing accounts
Survey and make recommendations for needed repairs
Complete service and installation work orders, reports and time cards
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and factory training
Over-time and Saturday work may be required
Customer service oriented position to support company mission : To build a partnership with our customers, working to develop an understanding of their needs and concerns
Work efficiently and safely at customer's site
3+ years experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment and welding, the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment using proper tools.Strong communication and customer service skills are a must. Applicant must have a valid WSDL with an insurable driving record and must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
