Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Clinical Transformation, the Clinical Analyst will be dedicated to the Clairvia staffing software solution- designing, building, testing and implementing other computerized applications as it pertains to clinical practice. This position functions to provide clinical process design and end-user education for automated application system enhancements. This position will be responsible for working with Information Technology staff, various project teams, hospital staff, department managers, physicians and administration. The Clinical Analyst is assigned full-time to Clinical Transformation and will provide ongoing development and support of clinical applications at the hospital with a focus on staffing solutions. They will ensure that all systems development effecting patient care areas are consistent with information technology standards, quality and patient safety initiatives, JCAHO, and other regulatory agency requirements.
Duties may include the following but are not limited to:
- Manages and maintains the Clarvia system as it relates to hospital operations
- Collaborates with other Cerner design teams to integrate Clarvia with other solutions
- Develops the Clarvia system new functionality and upgrades
- Focus on operations improvement and data analysis using the system
- Trains end users and superusers on Clarvia
Required: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field is required with at least four to five (4-5) years’ working in a tertiary care hospital setting as a staffing software administrator. Experience/knowledge of clinical EMR application implementation and Clarvia software required.
Preferred: Master’s degree and Informatics Certification. Basic computer literacy skills required (skills that allow individuals to use computer technology to accomplish tasks which may include but are not limited to applications such as a word processor, database, spreadsheet, and communication via email).
