Responsibilities

Marymount University seeks a laboratory coordinator to begin work in June 2017. Coordinates and manages all general biology laboratories. Advises and orients adjunct instructors. Procures department supplies. Tracks the department budget. Schedules and coordinates maintenance of departmental equipment. Negotiates pricing with vendors and handles remittances. Manages the department's Safety Training program.


Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Biology or related field. 1-3 years of related experience. Strong laboratory science background required.


Preferred Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. Lab management experience. Knowledge of proper biological and chemical hazmat disposal laws in Virginia. Experience in processing requisitions, conducting inventories, and teaching experience in the biological sciences.
