Structure-based enzyme design. Use of structural biology and modeling for rational design of novel enzymes and proteins for use in the synthesis of bio-based products. Use of high throughput mutational and protein expression platforms for protein evolution. We envision someone with expertise in enzyme chemistry, perhaps with a program in the area of directed evolution and the design of new enzymes.
