The Oswego Alumni Association, Inc., located at SUNY Oswego, invites applications for an Advancement Services Records Management Specialist. While this position is located on the campus of SUNY Oswego, this is an Oswego Alumni Association, Inc. position, NOT a New York State position.

Job Description:  The Advancement Services Records Management Specialist is responsible for the processing of all biographical information in our database of over 100,000 constituent records. Data entry including biographical, coding and occasional pledge/gift entry.  Coordinating address, phone, email updates and lost searches.  Will create mail and email files and run reports for staff and affiliated groups. Responsible for problem solving in deadline based atmosphere, develops data management procedures and provides accompanying documentation.  The Advancement Services Records Management Specialist will also supervise student workers in the Advancement Services office.   Responsible for clerical duties as requested; acts as reservationist for annual Alumni Reunion.  

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Access
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong keyboarding skills
  • Minimum one year of professional experience in office environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or three years professional experience
  • Data entry and customer service experience
  • Experience with iModules and/or Banner
  • Strong analytical thinking, multi-tasking and time management skills

In addition, this position will be expected to demonstrate interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of Alumni, students and colleagues.
