The Senior Account Executive is responsible for the generation of revenue through the delivery of Brandman Competency Based Education engagements to Corporate Accounts, Strategic Business Partners, employees and others. Additional Brandman training modalities may be incorporated in pursuit of this goal.  In providing these services, this highly critical role will be responsible for the development of a qualified pipeline and will manage all executive level client relationships and engagements, including project development, scope definition, statement of work creation and delivery against client business requirements. This role also includes engagement with process owners within client organizations to develop and implement best practices that drive adoption of Brandman education and other services and is ultimately responsible for the management of client expectations to insure the highest level of client satisfaction is achieved.

TYPE OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED:  Limited supervision from the Dean, School of Extended Education and indirect supervision from the Vice Chancellor of Strategic Initiatives

Essential functions:  100% of time

  • Meet enrollment  and partnership targets as required per CBE enrollment model, maximizing current opportunities and proactively creating new opportunities to increase the competency based education student numbers
  • Identify and cultivate new and strategic partnerships, through personal professional network and Brandman network, with key national accounts as well as identifying opportunities to align profitable, executable solutions for client business needs.
  • Work collaboratively with Brandman teams across outreach, marketing, academic affairs, and others to leverage the entire product line to achieve market account penetration and client satisfaction
  • Utilize a consultative sales process (e.g. Sandler, Miller Heiman) to conduct and manage all phases of the selling and account management process
  • Utilize Brandman’s CRM to manage all client activities
  • Ensure all partners’ expectations are exceeded
  • Maintain professional, technical and industry knowledge
  • Provide market insights and client feedback in order to provide the competitive landscape for the CBE modality
  • Other duties as assigned


Previous Experience:  


  • Trained in sales methodologies
  • Proven track record of executive level sales of educational services (5 – 10 years)
  • Sales experience required in both Outside and Inside Sales environments
  • Demonstrated track record of closing deals that meet or exceed established goals and benchmarks
  • Experience in generating new customer base and managing customer relationships to meet or exceed established goals and benchmarks
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience using a CRM solution
  • Skilled in conducting analyses and interpreting related inquiry and enrollment data
  • Demonstrated problem solving experience
  • Exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high pressure, unstructured environment with the possibility of conflicting goals

Knowledge and Education:  

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related field or combination of related experience and education. Advanced degree preferred.
