Animal Management Instructor
P/T Animal Management Instructor
Part-time instructor needed to teach various courses in the Animal Management program. Courses may include Zoonotic Disease, Animal Reproduction, Conservation, Zoological Record Keeping, Exhibit Design, Animal Capture and Restraint, Animal Training, Vertebrate Morphology, Animal Behavior, Zoology, Herpetology, Ornithology, Mammalogy, Aquarium Science, and Population Genetics. Classes are held on the NCCC main campus on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and enrolled in a Master's degree level program in Biology, Zoology, Wildlife Conservation, or related curriculum; 1 year teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Biology, Zoology, Wildlife Conservation, or related curriculum; two years teaching at the community college level; minimum one year work experience as a professional zookeeper or aquarist.
