This is a temporary position to provide music instruction for the Suzuki Institutes at Ithaca College.
Position/Job Responsibilities
1. Prepare sheet music and instructional materials for Suzuki music classes as per the program curriculum.

2. Prepare students for solo recital and or repertory group performances.

3. Teach individual and group Suzuki violin, viola, or cello lessons to children of varied ages.

4. Provide a stimulating learning environment which encourages a love for music and performance for both Suzuki music students and their parents.

5. Perform on faculty recitals, present parent/teacher lectures and teach Suzuki core courses when required.
Position/Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in music or equivalent and training in Suzuki pedagogy method required. S.A.A certification and a minimum of 8 years experience teaching the Suzuki method. Candidates should be proficient in viola, violin, or cello instruction and skilled at teaching lessons to students in a variety of age groups. Preferred applicants will have previous experience teaching with the Suzuki Institutes at Ithaca College.
