The Department of English, Creative Writing, at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, invites applications for a part-time, one-semester visiting Assistant Professorship-General Faculty. The appointment begins July 25, 2017. A strong background in contemporary poetry, teaching experience and an MFA are required. At least one published book is required. The department will select a candidate who can contribute, through research, teaching, and service, to the diversity and excellence of a well-established academic community (http://creativewriting.virginia.edu). The candidate will be responsible for teaching one course in Fall 2017, an undergraduate workshop at the intermediate level, and for advising graduate students.
