Posting Summary:
The Department of French seeks applications to fill non-tenure-track Assistant Professor, General Faculty positions during the 2017-2018 academic year. A number of one-year positions will be available. Subject areas of particular need include, but are not limited to: French language (beginning to advanced levels), composition and conversation, introduction to literary and cultural analysis, and Business French. Compensation will take the form of full-time salary with full-time benefits. Teaching load will be three courses per semester.

Candidates must have prior teaching experience at the college level, a strong commitment to undergraduate education, and near-native fluency in French; preference will be given to candidates familiar with department methodologies, textbooks, and course offerings. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in French (or in Second Language Acquisition, with teaching experience in French) by the appointment start date. Review of applications will begin May 17, 2017.
