Job Description

Quality Assurance Administrative Assistant

Full-Time

In partnership with a state agency located in the heart of downtown Madison, we are seeking a quality and process driven Quality Assurance Administrative Assistant.

This position serves as the Quality Program Specialist for the Include, Respect I Self-Direct (IRIS) program, a major Medicaid-funded program that delivers long-term care to Wisconsin's eligible population of adults with disabilities and frailties of aging. The Quality Specialist will participate in development and implementation of the Quality Management program and the Departments' efforts related to the objective monitoring and improvement of quality-of-care performance of the IRIS program.

The position is responsible for professional level reviews of the IRIS program through participant record reviews to ensure adherence with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations. The position collects and evaluates information necessary for performance measurement; ensures the quality of data used for performance measurement, and analyzes results for improvement. The position is responsible for compiling record review data, aggregating record review data, and developing quarterly and annual record review report. The position is also responsible for participating in process improvement activities relative to the record review process and record review tool. This position reviews certification applications for IRIS Consultant Agencies and Fiscal Employer Agents; evaluates small samples of claims to ensure validity and appropriateness of payment; evaluates IRIS policies and work instructions in comparison with current practice, and makes recommendations for changes. This position functions under the direction of the IRIS Section Chief and IRIS Quality Lead.

Qualifications:
-Knowledge of the state and federal statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures governing the Medical Assistance program

-Knowledge of quality improvement and assurance methods and tools
-Ability to travel within Wisconsin and other states as necessary; must possess a valid driver's license, maintain adequate auto insurance for job-related travel
-Ability to provide difficult feedback and facilitate resolution effectively and efficiently
-Quality driven

Preferred Education/ Experience:
-Associates Degree
-2 to 4 years experience
