The department of Pediatrics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center has clinical practice, research and education. This temporary position is available in Dr. Basha's laboratory for a few months. Dr. Basha's laboratory is interested in experimental therapeutics and testing novel combination treatment strategies in laboratory studies.

Position Details
The Pediatrics Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Research Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Cell culture and maintaining multiple cell lines.
* Helping on placing orders and laboratory administration.
* Prepare reagents for laboratory experiments.
* Animal handling and working with animal tissues.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional
qualifications:

* Graduate in biomedical sciences or relevant fields.
* >3 years of experience in cell culture especially culturing Ewing sarcoma cell lines,non-adherent and mixed cell cultures.
* Experience in handling of nude mice.
* Ability to conduct molecular biology experiments with minimal
supervision.
* Proficiency in standard Microsoft office software and Graphpad.
