Graduate Assistant, Student Engagement & Leadership

Graduate Assistant serves the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership in a number of ways. The position will receive direct one-on-one advising experience, research and bench marking experience and programmatic development. The position is a flexible 15 hours a week, being mindful of night and weekend commitments. This position will work hand-in-hand with a Graduate Intern, student workers, student volunteers and other professional office staff.

Required Knowledge:
The Graduate Assistant will have base level student organization advising skills, management skills and the ability to navigate a higher education environment. Additional skills include power point, graphic design and ability to speak in front of large groups.

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:

Required Prior Work Experience:
The Graduate Assistant must have prior experience with collegiate event planning and student organization experience, preferably at a four year institute of higher education.
