Michigan State University (MSU) invites applications for an assistant professor position in Sports Medicine in the College of Osteopathic Medicine. The position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to join one of the University's most dynamic and clinically successful departments. The primary role of this position will be devoted to a combination of clinical activities including multi-disciplinary assessments, interventions, and development of clinical programs. Requirements of this position also include teaching and supervision of medical students, Residents, and Fellows in clinical setting as well as special assignments made by the Chair of the Department; will provide clinical care to community patients, outreach, and intercollegiate athletes and serve as Team physician to MSU Athletes. This position has the flexibility to be appointed at 80% - 100%.

The successful candidate should have prior experience in Sports Medicine. Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership ability. Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs. Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

Exposure to human blood, serum, tissue and other body fluids; and materials covered under Universal Precautions; TB risk or work within 3 feet of human patients in a health care setting.
