The College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University seeks candidates for up to two positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor levels with training and an established research record (i.e., scholarship and external funding) in cancer biology. Applicants may come from such disciplines as gynecological oncology, medical oncology, physiology, genetics, molecular biology, developmental biology to hold Ph.D. although an MD or DO who might also do clinical work is a possibility. Applicants who use genomics in their research are especially encouraged to apply. Faculty will be located in Grand Rapids or East Lansing, two of the campuses of the College of Human Medicine. Applicants may indicate a preference for location, but emphasis will be placed on matching research expertise and experience to the opportunities, existing research capabilities and identified needs in each region.
The successful candidates will have an investigator-initiated research program leading to peer-reviewed scholarship and extramural funding, and be able to provide leadership for developing teams of investigators in either campus. Candidates can collaborate with faculty across multiple disciplines. Teaching medical and graduate students as well as participation in outreach to statewide community partners is also anticipated.Minimum Qualifications
