Full-time teaching faculty position in a new and growing graduate program in Higher Education Leadership. Our program mission is to prepare culturally competent professionals for leadership roles in colleges and universities. We offer an academic and experiential graduate program to prepare leaders in the areas of strategic planning; assessment & evaluation; organizational development; finance; diversity; international issues; and supervision. Appointment includes recruitment, admissions, student advising, curriculum development, and teaching, as well as the expectation of participating in department, college, and university committees and activities. This is a 2 year, non-tenure track, long-term renewable position.
Qualifications & Requirements
Earned graduate degree in higher education leadership or relevant field (doctorate a plus). Professional experience as an administrator in higher education is required, as is experience teaching higher education or student affairs master's courses. Demonstrated ability and commitment to use effective pedagogical strategies to create engaging, relevant, and skills-based learning experiences for students required. Interest in and commitment to teaching the full spectrum of leadership courses required. Ability to serve as program coordinator and coordinate recruitment, admissions, and retention initiatives. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement partnerships with personnel and organizations to grow program enrollment.
