Masters in environmental education, outdoor recreation, or related field.
Experience managing an environmental education, outdoor recreation, or related program.
PhD in environmental education, outdoor recreation, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing an environmental education, outdoor recreation, or related program.
Ability to establish and oversee an outdoor environmental education research program and operations; ability to develop strategic goals and ensure they are achieved; ability to create an annual budget and income proforma; ability to promote the program; manage and direct staff.
Responsible for enhancing the university's educational, research, service and leisure activities, promoting the protection of the San Marcos Springs and other ecosystems, and fostering an appreciation and stewardship of its natural and cultural resources.
Establish and oversee an outdoor education research program at the Meadows Center. Oversee the Meadows Center's Spring Lake environmental education program and operations. Financial management of the program. Promotion of the program. Manage and direct staff.
