The Center for Alzheimer's & Neurodegenerative Disease Research Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Research Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Assist the PI with research studies. This includes meeting grant deadlines, subject testing, creating and managing all Institutional Review Board (IRB) documentation and compliance. * Manage subject files / paperwork, recruitment, and make sure all elements of projects are accurately completed. * Manage all research data including accurate and thorough subject data collection, database creation, data entry, cursory statistical analyses. * Train student volunteers on conducting research projects concerning research metrics, human subject's protection and IRB requirements, database creation, and data entry. * Receive phlebotomy training and be willing to draw blood from study subjects. * Manage, process, and ship blood samples to off-campus labs * Keep current on all required training (e.g. CITI, biosafety, phlebotomy, compliance, etc.). * Assist with all manuscripts, abstracts, and posters. * Conduct literature searches and identify grant funding opportunities * Contribute to all grant funded projects through testing and participant throughput. * Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the Department.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
