Assistant Professor of History
Assistant Professor of History, tenure track, beginning August 2017. Requires Ph.D. in Modern European History (post 1600 region and field open, excluding Britain). A genuine interest in and commitment to teaching freshman surveys as well as upper-level courses.
Responsibilities of the position include teaching eight classes per academic year. Teaching assignments may be day, evening, or weekends, possibly at off-campus locations. Academic advising, committee work, planning and assessment, other College and community service, and professional development. Other such duties as assigned by the chair of History.
The salary is commensurate with credentials and experience. An on-campus interview and teaching demonstration will be required prior to an official offer of the position. As per USG policy, a background check will be processed for any candidate who accepts an offer of employment.
