Occupational Summary

The Baht laboratory is a part of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and is located in the Duke Molecular Physiology Institute at 300 Duke North Duke Street. Our lab is focused on understanding bone fracture healing. We are seeking a research technician to become a member of our team.


Experience in any or all of these areas are preferred: Mouse colony maintenance, tissue collection, tissue sectioning, histological staining, western blot analysis, real-time PCR, cell culture, flow cytometry.

Description of activities: We are looking for a candidate to help complete the following research tasks: 1. Perform mouse colony maintenance, tissue collection, tissue sectioning, histological staining, western blot analysis, real-time PCR, cell culture, and more. 2. Document laboratory procedures and data diligently and withhonesty. 3. Order laboratory supplies and maintain laboratory supply stocks. 4. Perform general laboratory database and inventory management. 5. Work and learn in a collaborative, friendly work environment. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
