RESEARCH SPECIALIST A
Duties: A lab in the Department of Cancer Biology in the Perelman School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and organized research specialist. The lab investigates the molecular and cellular basis of diseases, especially cancer and neurodegeneration. The research specialist A will (1) Participate in a research project using a range of techniques including molecular biology, biochemistry, cell culture, animal models; (2) Function as lab manager and assist PI in overseeing the operation of the lab; (3) Write animal protocols, manage the animal colonies, including breeding and genotyping mice, and train students and other scientists for animal-related work; (4) Assist PI, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows with experimental procedures and analysis.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 year to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
