Duties: A well-established lab in the Perelman School of Medicine is seeking a Research Specialist A to perform cell culture-based research. The primary role for this position is to generate and culture genetically targeted mouse ESCs. Mouse ES cells require daily monitoring; the candidate will need to work unsupervised on weekends during targeting cycles. Duties also include maintaining reagent and consumable inventories, processing orders for the lab, preparing tissue for PCR and western analysis, participating in discussions about experimental data. The applicant should be comfortable working with animal tissue. This position is well-suited for recent graduate (BS) who is looking for 1 year of lab experience before moving on to graduate school or medical school.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. The ideal candidate for this position will be a well-organized individual who is eager to learn advanced cell culture techniques.
