Department Overview
The Department of Health Behavior and Health Systems in the School of Public Health at the University of North Texas in Fort Worth is seeking an outstanding faculty colleague at the tenure-track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank in the field of health care finance, financial management, or business finance. We invite applications not only from researchers in traditional academic positions, but also from current practitioners who aspire to become accomplished researchers and intellectual leaders in the field. This is a full-time, 12-month position. Our CAHME-accredited MHA program enrolls 50 students who are led by five full time faculty members. The MHA faculty are involved in interdisciplinary research throughout the University and through regional, national and international partnerships. The Department has strong linkages with community agencies and health centers, regional healthcare systems, and state and national health services delivery systems. These partnerships provide opportunities for teaching, internship placements, and employment for our students.

Position Details
The Health Management and Policy Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Healthcare Finance, Financial Management to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

Participating in research, teaching and mentoring of students, and service to the Department.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

* An earned doctoral degree in healthcare finance, business finance, economics or a relevant field
* Recognition or promise of outstanding contributions as a scholar and expert in healthcare finance and financial management
* Successful record or promise of sponsored research and ability to foster a collaborative program of research
* Enthusiasm for teaching
* Commitment to inter-professional education and interdisciplinary research
