Reporting to the Executive Director of Assessment and Accreditation, the Assessment Coordinator serves as the system administrator of the University’s assessment management system. The Assessment Coordinator manages the program assessment process including submissions of plans and reports. The Assessment Coordinator supports the Assessment Specialist in reviewing and providing feedback on assessment plans and reports. This position is also responsible for administering General Education assessment.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


•Serves as the system administrator of the University’s assessment management system. Sets up and maintains assessments in the system. Conducts training and provides user support on using the assessment management system.
•Manages the program assessment process: collecting and tracking assessment plans and reports.
•Reviews assessment plans and reports and provides feedback to programs and units.
•Provides regular updates on assessment process to the Executive Director and Assessment Specialist.
•Manages communication regarding the assessment management system and the assessment process to programs and units.
•Prepares reports on the assessment process for institutional leaders.
•Serves as a resource in the preparation of SACSCOC compliance reports—together with supporting documentation—including the University’s reaffirmation report, fifth-year monitoring report, and other monitoring reports.
•Develops and maintains the OAA Assessment website.
•Administers general education assessment on-line instruments each semester through the CoursEval system.
•Prepares summary reports on general education assessment for the University Curriculum Committee and responsible academic units.
•Manages the assessment process of the Quality Enhancement Plan.
•Serves as the system administrator for ComplianceAssist, the University’s accreditation support platform.
•Administers assessment-related surveys as directed and prepares summary reports.
•Other duties as assigned.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


•Excellent skills in writing, editing, speaking, and interpersonal communication. Pays high attention to detail. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and function effectively in a team environment. Education Requirements:

•Required: Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
•Preferred: Master’s degree in education or related field.



Work Experience Requirements:
•Required: Three years of related experience.
