Columbia State Community College is currently recruiting for a Film Crew Technology Program Director:

Columbia State’s Williamson Campus is seeking a Program Director for the Film Crew Technology Program. The program is housed at the new Williamson Campus and includes state of the art equipment, a sound stage, editing lab and grip truck.

A full-time faculty is responsible for delivering instruction in the discipline(s) for which she/he has been employed. In addition, faculty are expected to provide academic advising to students and participate in divisional and institutional activities related to the college’s mission. 

The program director provides leadership for a specific program, ensures that the program operates smoothly, maintains any applicable accreditations, and assists the division dean with the supervision and evaluation of faculty and staff in the program.

Education, Training and Experience Required:

  1. Bachelors’ Degree in related field such as Video, Film and Television production.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of technical work experience in the motion picture industry in the areas of grip, electric, camera, sound or post-production.
  3. Proficient knowledge in pre-production, production, and post-production for motion-pictures.
  4. General knowledge of work flow, customs, terminologies and safe practices of feature motion picture production work.
