Postdoctoral Research Associate Position at the Princeton Social Neuroscience Lab The Princeton Social Neuroscience Lab invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate or more senior position focused on the study of mental state representation, to begin in Fall 2017. This project will involve studying how people think about each other's thoughts and feelings using a combination of neuroimaging, machine learning, and large-scale web research. Primary responsibilities will include designing and conducting neuroimaging experiments, developing online studies, analyzing behavioral, fMRI, and text data, and preparing conference presentations and scientific publications. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Diana Tamir and will be encouraged to pursue independent research projects within the domain of social neuroscience. Essential Qualifications: - Doctoral degree in psychology, neuroscience, computer science, statistics, or related field - Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills - Experience analyzing neuroimaging data (SPM, FSL, AFNI, or similar platforms). - Experience conducting research in the domain of mental state representation - Strong background in scientific computing (e.g. Matlab, Python, R, shell scripting, etc.), web development (HTML/CSS, Javascript, SQL, PHP), and statistics (e,g, regression, machine learning, multivariate pattern analysis, Monte Carlo simulation) Applications must be submitted online and should include (1) a letter of application indicating research interests and experience, (2) a curriculum vita, and (3) names and contact information for three professional references.
