Assistant Professor, Reading Education
Appointment may include teaching various classes to undergraduate students in Reading Education on the GSW campus and at off-campus sites. The applicant may also teach other classes, as assigned, consistent with the candidate’s expertise and qualifications. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, advising students, and in supervising students in the field. The candidates will also participate in professional development, and in department, School of Education, and university committees.Requirements include: Earned doctorate in Reading Education or related field and at least three years of public school teaching experience preferred.Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a background investigation including a criminal background check demonstrating eligibility for employment with Georgia Southwestern State University, as determined by Georgia Southwestern State University in its sole discretion, confirmation of the credentials and employment history reflected in application materials and, if applicable, a satisfactory credit check.
Position will begin Fall 2017.
