Job description

Duties: The primary purpose of this role is to support the research activities of the School of Social Policy & Practice. Under limited supervision, this position will manage the sponsored programs funds from pre-award through post-award while working with Principal Investigators on proposal development, budget development, and related pre-award issues and submission for a diverse sponsor portfolio. Applying knowledge of OMB Circulars A-21, A-110, and A-133, the employee will manage the post-award processes including monitoring and review of all charges, reconciliation of accounts, and preparation of monthly financial reports for Principal Investigators. As a member of the Finance Office, this employee will assist in the monthly generation and review of financial reports/analysis.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. . Experience working with faculty creating proposals and managing grant funds, in particular NIH awards, required. Experience in using Penn ERA preferred. A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Strong written and verbal communication an asset.
